Our Story

Building on experience ...

In 2018, TeamADL CEO and Founder, Dr Anita Devi identified a real gap in the employment sector.  Whilst a lot was being done in schools to support special educational needs and disability, and through Pupil Premium (in England) this wasn't translating into the workplace

Deeply moved by a local tragedy, Anita formed collaborations with local charities and multinational organisations (e.g. Network Rail, Sainsburys and Argos to name a few).  A connection event was set up for parents and young people, providing them with direct solutions for moving forward.

This work and wider related projects was recognised nationally and TeamADL were shortlisted as Finalists in the Disability Awards 2019, alongside the BBC and Virgin Media.  More projects were in the pipeline with DWP and The Foreign Office.  Sadly COVID19 put everything on hold.

In 2025, TeamADL recognised it was time to revisit our original intentions with greater vision and vigour.  As a result, 'Inclusive Futures' was established to bridge the transition from education into employment.

Sofia Syed, who now leads on this, has previously worked in central government for the Department for Education and the Department for Work and Pensions.  Our vision is to make this a Global Movement for Change.

Shake it Up!

In England, we know that students need English qualification to move forward and enter the workplace.  Yet to pass the English qualification the study of Shakespeare is vital.

In this series of practical workshops for student or teachers, Chris Holmwood provides strategies and resources to bring these texts to life.

Chris has previously delivered these nationally, including with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).  Session lengths can vary between 90 mins to a full day.
