At #TeamADL we value the hard work and commitment of SENCOs and SEND Leaders. Our definition of a SEND Leader is broader than most. SEND as we know stands for special educational needs and disability.
We believe leadership is not about post, position or power. It is about care, courage and collaborative influence (all three align with TeamADL values).
So for us at TeamADL, SEND Leader includes, parents, carers, practitioners, academics and volunteers, to name a few.
Therefore a SEND Leader, is someone who has clear values around the inclusion and commits to the enablement of those with SEND, by taking a positive step to make a difference and sharing how this has impacted those with special educational needs and/ or a disability (0-25 years).
It's about sowing into the future of others.
